OUR CHARITY TEAM BUILDING EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
Our charity team building events can be delivered at your location, anywhere in the UK, and are all about bringing your team closer while doing something that really matters. They’re fun, hands-on and give everyone the chance to make a genuine difference in people’s lives. Whether you’re assembling prosthetic hands, building bikes or toys for children in need, or supporting a local foodbank, every activity is designed to be meaningful and memorable. It’s a great way to show your team’s values in action and boost your corporate social responsibility (CSR). Our charity team building activities work indoor or outdoor, for groups big or small, whether there are 10 of you or over 1,000!
NEW
The Helping Hand Project
Assemble real prosthetic hands that will be donated to people in developing countries. Blending practical teamwork with genuine emotion, teams take on light-hearted challenges that limit sight or dexterity, offering a greater sense of empathy.
NEW
Charity Toy Build
Bring your team together to create high-quality wooden toys that are donated to children in need across the world. Guided by expert facilitators, teams receive wooden toy kits to assemble, test and decorate, encouraging teamwork, creativity and problem-solving.
NEW
The Clean Water Project
Build fully functional water filtration systems for communities without access to clean water. Once complete, teams test their filters and add a personal message. Each filter is then donated, providing up to two years of safe drinking water for developing regions.
NEW
Charity Hamper Making
Guided by a Michelin-trained chef, your team will craft eco-friendly treats and beautiful hampers, and compete for top marks in creativity and presentation, all before donating the finished baskets to a chosen charity.
Charity Bike Build
Engage in fun challenges to earn bike parts, then build and decorate bikes for children in need. At the end of the event, your bikes will go through a safety inspection and will be sent to charity to give children the freedom and fun they are struggling to achieve.
Putt for a Purpose
Mini-golf with a charitable twist. In teams, create mini-golf holes using different foodbank items. Then, play the full golf course in a fun and light-hearted competition. After the charity team building event, the foodbank items will be donated to provide support to those in need.
Sleep Pods
Participate in fun and dynamic challenges to earn the parts for building life-saving sleep pods. Each sleep pod offers emergency shelter from harsh weather conditions. The completed pods will be inspected and delivered to those experiencing homelessness.
Charity Bake Off
Not everyone can afford to treat themselves. Come together with your team to bake tasty treats for charity. With an array of baking tools, ingredients and guided by a Michelin star-trained chef, go head-to-head and bake sweet treats that will brighten up someone’s day.
Gift of the Gab
Venture into town on a meaningful mission, collecting essential items for charity. Race the other teams in fun challenges against the clock, sourcing as many items on your list as possible, within the budget. After the corporate charity event, the items are donated to charity.
Operation Supply Drop
In teams, put together care packages for those in need while facing fun military-themed games and challenges that test your knowledge, creativity and teamwork. At the end of the charity team building event, all care packages are donated to charity.
Paws for a Cause
This interactive charity team building activity gives you the chance to support animals in shelters that struggle to provide everything their residents need. You will contribute in a hands-on way, building feeders, furniture and enrichment equipment for animals.
Charity Garden Project
A hands-on experience where teams craft beautiful garden features like planters, hanging baskets and living trellises, all to be donated to local hospitals, care homes and schools to transform shared green spaces and support wellbeing.
The Charities We Work With
We partner with both local and international charities. After determining the purpose and requirements of these charities, we crafted unique and engaging charity team building activities to both help meet the charities’ specific needs and our clients’ team building goals.
Through our charity team building events, we support charities with important supplies such as food, household items, hygiene items, school supplies, toys, prosthetic hands and even feeders and enrichment equipment for animals in shelters.
We are proud to support an array of charities through our team building events including Re-Cycle, Shelter, Sleep Pod and Alexander Devine.
Alternatively, if you have a charity in mind or one that you closely work with, we are more than happy to support a charity of your choice! Simply get in touch with a member of our team to find out how we can support your charitable efforts through one of our corporate charity events.

The Benefits of Charity Team Building Events
Charity team building events provide important additional support for charities to meet the needs of their cause, by providing:
- Hands-on support with equipment for people or animals such as building emergency shelters for those experiencing homelessness, building enrichment equipment for animals in shelters, or building bikes, prosthetic hands and quality toys for children in developing countries.
- Food and essential item donations through team building events such as Putt for a Purpose, Operation Supply Drop, Charity Bake Off and Charity Gift of the Gab.
- Fundraising through different office activities.
Charity team building activities have a positive impact on participants, by improving:
- Awareness at an individual level on causes that are out there and in need of additional support.
- Motivation to get involved in charity work more often, either alone or with a team.
- The development of transferable skills out of the office, such as problem-solving, creativity, thinking outside of the box and social skills.
Charity team building activities impact your organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts by:
- Supporting charity goals
With the rising cost of living, individuals are finding it increasingly difficult to afford food, shelter and other basic necessities. Through charity team building activities, you not only provide a fun activity for employees, but also support charities to provide these all-important resources for people in need.
- Connecting your organisation with the local community
By engaging in charity team building, you can learn more about your community and bridge the gap between your corporate world and the social environment you operate in.
- Showcasing company values
Research shows that only 40% of employees feel they know what their company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals, strategies and tactics are. By using charity team building events to bring employees together, companies are not only able to showcase their values to their internal staff, but also to their clients and the wider public.
- Boosting employee wellbeing
Taking part in charity corporate team building activities bring a fun and motivating change of pace, boosts employee morale and builds skills and rapport to take back into the workplace. Research from the British Council shows that employees want to work for more than just money. They want to work for companies that have a purpose and have a positive impact on the community.
Charity Team Building FAQs
Charity team building activities are team building activities with a charitable twist. These events typically include games and challenges that you and your team can engage in, with a meaningful purpose so you’re helping out a cause that means something to your organisation. We have a diverse charity team building event portfolio but most of our events can be turned into charity events. For example, you can take the number of points you accumulate during the Crystal Team Challenge event and translate them into actual money that is donated to charity.
Regular team building events are a great way to improve collaboration amongst employees, and a chance to step out of the office into a more interactive and fun environment. They also have been proven to boost morale and trust in the office, leading to improved workplace culture. Through the use of corporate charity events, you can take the effects of these team building activities one step further. We have found that when you bring teams together to support a charitable cause, they are significantly more likely to engage in the activity.
We partner with a wide range of incredible charities across the UK and around the world, from children’s organisations and foodbanks to shelters and animal rescue centres. However, you’re also welcome to choose a charity that’s close to your heart, so your team’s efforts directly support the cause you care about most.
- Step 1: Speak to your team to find out which cause they would like to support.

We recommend interactive charity team building events such as Charity Bike Build, Sleep Pods, or Putt for a Purpose for an energetic day that supports amazing causes. However, the best charity team building ideas are the ones that support a cause close to your heart and help boost morale within your team, leaving you with smiles and energy that you can take back into the workplace.
At GOTO Events, our charity team building activities typically last between 2 and 3 hours, but the duration of the charity team building event depends on the activity chosen and the size of your group.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an organisation’s goals or policies that demonstrate their commitment to supporting people and the environment. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become increasingly popular in the last few years. As countries struggle with societal and environmental impacts, it has become extremely important for businesses to have a greater duty towards society than just providing employment opportunities and making more money. Charity team building events contribute towards your organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by supporting a charitable cause and raising awareness of important causes among employees.
Our charity team building events are designed to suit all group sizes and budgets. Prices vary depending on the activity and group size, but we’ll always work with you to create an experience that fits your goals and budget perfectly. We also offer free venue finding to help you get the best value for your event. Enquire now and our team can provide you with a detailed quote within just 45 minutes.
