How does it work?
In teams, participants engage in action-packed, thrilling challenges that will allow them to win material parts for the Sleep Pods. They are encouraged to be competitive, creative and silly while working together and using their skills (or hidden talents) to complete a variety of engaging and fun tasks.
All this will lead to a special mission: Using the materials earned and with expert training from the charity representatives, each team will build a life-saving compact Sleep Pod, which will eventually reach a vulnerable person in need for emergency shelter.
How will this event make a difference?
Unfortunately, those facing homelessness are exposed to fatally cold temperatures and extreme weather conditions. The Sleep Pod provides temporary shelter in an emergency situation. This charity activity not only includes the Sleep Pod materials, but you also directly contribute to the charity’s capacity to distribute Sleep Pods to those in need by assembling them during the event.

The Sleep Pod team
Sleep Pod charity is an amazing initiative that developed a simple yet powerful measure to provide rough sleepers with a temporary solution to shield against cold and extreme weather. So far, they’ve built and distributed over 10,000 pods for people in all parts of the UK, as well as refugees in Northern France.
The Sleep Pods - simple yet vital in times of emergency
The Sleep Pod is made out of thermal insulative materials that helps maintain body heat while temperature outside are very low. It is also rain and wind resistant, lightweight for easy transportation and can be put up in seconds. The Sleep Pods are not meant to be a solution to the homelessness crisis, but they can save someone’s life when other measures are not possible.
